"All of the interviews in this compilation were done during the period of "Southern Exposure with Bill Boggs" out of High Point, N.C. and syndicated throughout the south. They were shot with one camera on 16mm magnetic strip film. I produced the show as well as hosted it, and found that I could go all over North Carolina and rather easily--compared to the same challenge in NYC--book guests for on location interviews. I hope you enjoy these highlights from one of the most creative periods of my life when I only had to answer to my own instincts as to what I thought would interest the viewer.
"Southern Exposure with Bill Boggs" handily beat its main ratings competition, "The Today Show," during its entire three year run. I credit the general manager of the station, Phillip J. Lombardo (whom I interviewed for my book GOT WHAT IT TAKES?) as being the managerial force that enabled me to do some of my best work." —Bill Boggs
