Early Skit by Bill Boggs:
"What's My Talent?"
with Mitch Miller, Vivian Blain,
& Buddy Rich

Behind the Scenes:

"This unuusal piece of television combines the great jazz drummer Buddy Rich; music producer, TV host and classical oboist, Mitch Miller; and actress Vivian Blaine ('Guys and Dolls' among many things). The three were somehow booked for an appearance on 'McLean and Company' in Philadelphia in 1971. The host, Bob McLean, a terrific fellow, also appears in this. I was associate producer of this show under the great Debbie Miller and my intern was Nancy Meyers—the now extraordinary successful film wirter/director. Anyway, I was charged with the challenge of coming up with something for this talened trio of guests and I created this corny 'What's My Talent' sketch—which aired on live TV. This is the first time I ever appeared in anything of length on television at the very dawn of my career. Mitch, Buddy, Vivian and Bob played along very well. It has not been seen since that day in 1971."—Bill Boggs
