"Dustin Hoffman came to my show with his first wife to help her promote a dance project. I knew about his struggling actor days from Robert Duvall, whom I'd interviewed a little while earlier. Dustin was a huge A- list movie star when he appeared on the show. I was curious about how he had been effected by fame—and much of what you will see here is a very interesting, and honest, and analyzed reaction from a big star, whose life as a human being has been altered by success and public recognition. Few people stop to think about the other side of success, how, for example, going out in public can be difficult because of the constant interruptions, or the self consciousness that a star can develop because people are staring at them everywhere they go." —Bill Boggs
