Bill's Interview with
Dino De Laurentiis

"The 1976 interview I did with Dino De Laurentiis  encapsulates much of his philosophy as a  film producer and it also discusses one of his most expensive films the remake of King Kong. including clips. I had special access to dino since i'd met his personal assistant (she was quite attractive, i recall) at a party in Beverly Hills when I was taping a special out there for NBC.
The legendary showman was an excellent TV guest who, of course, was there to hype himself and his film King Kong which did very well indeed. He was one of the first producers to recognize the value of the international co production.

I recall Dino telling me this, ‘To be a good producer is to be like the conductor of a symphony, you must know and understand each instrument to best lead in the direction that you want to go.’

What a range of films from Barbella to The Shootist to Death Wish to Serpico...and so many more."—Bill Boggs
