"I remember attending the world premiere in NYC, of "Pumping Iron," the award winning documentary that introduced Arnold Schwarzenegger, the three-time world champion Mr. Olympia bodybuilder to America. So I met Arnold in the early 1970's just as I was starting one of my TV shows here, and he appeared with me on several programs and there was always an element of teasing involved between us on the air. Arnold came to a party I hosted, my annual 'Autumn in New York' party with the late Walter Bishop, Jr. playing piano. In my bedroom was my barbell, which I've had since 9th grade. 'You need more veight on dat!' Arnold said before departing.
I consider Arnold one of the most successful, disciplined and focused people I have ever interviewed. Back then, he had a vision of his life after bodybuilding, '...to bne become the king of films,' and he did it. You'll hear him reference his future plans in this video."—Bill Boggs
